Massage services provided by Hit the Spot Canine Massage or its affiliates is not to be used as a substitute for regular veterinary medicine.
Whitney Claire McKim, CMT is not a veterinarian or a veterinary technician and does not diagnose, advise, prescribe, or administer any drug, medication, application or treatment of any kind for the prevention, cure or relief of a wound, fracture, bodily injury, or disease. The sole purpose of the massage provided by Hit the Spot Canine Massage is for "feel good" or general well being.
Because some conditions may be contraindicative when applying massage to an animal Hit the Spot Canine Massage requires that written consent from the animal's veterinarian be provided before beginning a massage regime.
To help facilitate this referral process, we have provided the following form for your veterinarian to review and sign. This veterinary clearance form indicates that the animal to receive the massage is free any known illness or injury that may worsen by receiving a massage. Hit the Spot Canine Massage will also accept letters of veterinary clearance written on the veterinary hospital's letterhead. All forms must be directly submitted by your veterinary office either by mail, fax, or email prior to beginning your dog's massage regime.

Post-massage Dog-walk Policy
Hit the Spot Canine Massage recommends that after having a massage your dog be walked for a minimum of 15 minutes to ensure that no muscle tightness or stiffness occurs. If you have arranged for your dog to recieve a massage at one of our locations that does not allow you to be present during the massage, a representative or agent of Hit the Spot Canine Massage, LLC can be available to walk your dog in your absence. Your dog will be walked with the utmost care and caution, however, Hit the Spot Canine Massage cannot be responsible for injury or accident to your pet.

Payment Policy
Payment is expected upon services rendered unless other payment arrangements have been made prior to the massage session.
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee of $30 will be assessed for appointments cancelled without
24-hours notice. Emergencies are understood. |
